A Demonic Clown who took up residence in the now defunct abandoned Fraulein Grant's Midnight Cirque in Greyhelm, Jerkota and one of the nastiest pieces of work that Kira fought. Especially for such an early battle.
Midnight was a hammy, high-pitched, homicidal, wisecracking clown who thrived on having a captive audience. Midnight would capture civilians around Greyhelm and take them to the circus where he would use his powers to put on an uproarious show to entertain them until he decided to finally decided to charge them admission and gruesomely butchered and devoured them. Claiming their souls for his own, forcing them to participate in his twisted circus in between his further tortures and humiliation of them.
The demon repeated this process at random around the city until Kira arrived in town to investigate the disappearances. As usual she disguised herself and searched throughout the city for the demon in between interacting with the people and even forming friendly relationships with a few of them, brief though they were.
Seeing this new girl as just another easy victim, Midnight gathered the souls and sent out a group of children's souls to go lure her to him. Despite their reluctance to do so they were trapped by his control and forced to do so. Following his commands they revealed themselves to Kira and lead the supposedly naive 'civilian' into his clutches where he grabbed her and transported her to the circus. Unlike his usual victims though, Kira had merely been playing possum until she could figure out where his victims were. She found herself looking over her restraints until Midnight revealed himself and began his usual show, a grand performance of himself and his tortured souls, until Kira broke free of her restraints and PUNCHED HIM RIGHT IN THE FACE!
With Midnight briefly stunned, Kira freed the others and told them to RUN! As the Demon stood back up snarling, Kira turned back around and dropped her Glamour to reveal herself as Lily revealed herself as well. Kira used her magic and transformed herself into her Magical Girl Monster form and battled the Demon around the circus.
Despite Midnight's impressive magical abilities, the Demon wasn't used to fighting, especially not someone as relentless as Kira, and though he put up a valiant effort with a combination of magic and using the surroundings, Kira eventually cornered and pummeled, punched, kicked, beat and battered him into a limp, bruised, broken, bloody pulp before mauling him, just like he'd done to all of his helpless victims.
With Midnight's physical body destroyed beyond recovery and his soul returned to Hell, all of the souls of his victims were freed and they ascended to the afterlife.
Sadistic, cruel and completely without morals or any form of redemption, the Demon stands out as one of the vilest monsters that the Magical Girl Zombie has slain.
