The deadly matriarch of the Diavolo Family. She is a deadly superhuman gifted with the absurdly powerful Biokinesis.

Biokinesis, also called Somatokinesis, Genetokinesis (when that faculty is used) or Genetic/DNA/Bodily Manipulation , is the biological ability to alter one's own organic matter and that of others. The Alternate develops a holometabolism, allowing her to transform every aspect of her physiology. She can control this process, allowing her alter the functions of organs and organelles, radically altering the essential biological functions within the body. Muscle groups may also be manipulated, allowing for greater performance, changing function and enhancing her abilities to superhuman levels.

The user can manipulate their own and/or someone else’s skin color, size, weight, facial features, and the like even to the point of healing and/or regenerating, or shifting from the appearance of one species to another. Creative usage of the power even allows the user to move, manipulate bodily organs themselves, cease biological function, bypassing vital organs, or even move organs around within their body. 

In any case, the skin and muscle tissue of the Alternate is very pliable - so much so that it's easy for most with this to be able to shift their physical form effectively within a very short time.

A vastly powerful power when it comes to biological systems, this could be used to heal subjects of wounds/injuries, heal subjects of disease, afflict subjects with diseases, afflict subjects with broken bones, heart attacks, strokes, aneurysms, blood clots, joint conditions, change one species to another, even bestowing subjects with superhuman abilities or the like. 

This ability starts off with general manipulation (changing eye/skin/hair color, affecting teeth nails, changing one's own anatomy -- like regeneration), to more intricate manipulation (healing others, "unhealing" healed wounds, human-form shapeshifting), to the most dynamic and most complex (animal-form shapeshifting, insect-form shapeshifting, changing others, inducing illness, inducing death). Obviously, power must build over time.

Because of how long she's lived, Aurora has mastered her power to an incredible extent. 

Because of this astounding gift, Aurora, if that's even her real name, has lived for a very long time and seen a lot. It's unknown how old she actually is but she's changed identities multiple times through history.

In her current identity, Aurora Messana, she lived as an art curator and archaeologist until she met Demetrio Diavolo and the two fell in love. Genuine love. For the first time in centuries she felt truly alive. They eventually had a family together and that was the real catalyst for her to change and she and Demetrio have been gradually moving their empire to being more legitimate-ish to create a new better world for their children to inherit while still ruling a criminal empire from the shadows.

As bosses, The Diavolos are known to be quite benevolent.

After all, they're professional and experienced enough to know what happens if you treat your employees horribly in this line of work, so they opt for the opposite approach to build loyalty to see their employees happy and in positive moods by praising them over the slightest improvements, whenever they happen to come across them,  frequently asks for opinions, suggestions and constructive criticisms, likes to share cups of cocoa, encourages them to collaborate and brainstorm together, orders them to take a good breather if they seem to be too stressed and out of breath, gives them helpful advice if they come to ask for it and helps sort out budding conflicts between co-workers in a peaceful way.

Generally speaking, they won't even kill you unless you MAJORLY screw up. Most mistakes or accidents just result in a demotion and or a pay cut.

If you do mess up however they'll just shoot you. Usually. Depends on the severity of the mistake.

On the other hand, employees who perform exceptionally well can be taken behind closed doors and subjected to The Process.

THE PROCESS

Aurora focuses her powers on the employee and begins a prolonged physical amplification of their biology.

A web of osteoderms are developed in their skin, creating a flexible but durable shell in their bodies, making them highly resistant to damage and pressure.

The production of functional myostatin in the body is reduced as their muscles grow tougher and denser, allowing them to exert a superhuman force from their muscles.

The speed of their nerve clusters are accelerated, allowing them to react to stimuli faster than a normal human's capacity allows.

Thalamus efficiency is improved and sensory nerves are compartmentalized, allowing them to parse out very specific details with their senses to the point that they are capable of existing sounds and using them as a range, allowing them to determine the distance and direction of objects using sound. Ranging is done by measuring the time delay between their own sound emission and any echoes that return from the environment.

Respiratory systems are improved, allowing them to process any gas or liquid for oxygen. 

The Process essentially allows them to turn normal henchmen/employees and turn them into low level superhumans.

To say nothing about how effective it can be on Powered employees who wish to undergo The Process.

It should be noted however that The Process is painful and exhausting for them, she is after all messing with their biology and forcing powers into them, and people who undergo it will need rest and time to adjust afterword. To that end they hired Professional Trainers who help them adjust to their new abilities.

Furthermore, The Process is a lifetime contract. You want The Upgrades? You're theirs for life.

In terms of crime, they're actually very smart about that as well.

Matchfixing and Gambling are of course big for them. Along with Protection Rackets. They'll generally cut people off when they're too far in debt to them or give them a job at their corporation to make them earn money for the family until their debt is paid off. Along with a gambling recovery center.
They also bought a massive amount of small businesses and hired good, albeit unethical accountants, and work them as money laundering services.

It might sound cliché but there is in fact a lot of money in real estate and even more by utilizing illegal means to help manipulate prices.

Investment fund manipulation also opened up a lot of potential. Does it count as insider trading if you have the information because of blackmail?

Phone/email scams believe it or not had a pretty good ROI, and don't attract much attention.

They also make excellent money smuggling, usually low profile goods along with exotic plants and European chocolates and artwork.

Politics is a fun game for them, besides money into the pockets to make them dance on strings, they bought mayors of small town pockets. 30,000 or less in towns along major travel routes. This enables your other ventures, while avoiding the big cities problems. Hell, just bribe some officials to let them kick zoning regulations to the curb and build businesses and apartment complexes. More money for the family and it makes them look good to the people. Since you have the highways anyway, bribe truck drivers to fake hijackings and 'losing' their products and sell said products at a profit.

Oh yeah, and don't forget bootleg medication such as smuggled insulin. They charge $200 a unit and still a quarter of the price of current legal insulin, while making good money themselves. Similar story with epipens, and plenty of other medications that people need. And being the guy who get people their medicine is good for your image, making people less likely to inform on you.  With the insane prices charged for insulin in the US, you can smuggle legitimately purchased quality product for literally cents on the dollar, undercutting the American pharma giants by an order of magnitude while helping those in need, AND make an absolute fortune doing it!

They also provide security for independent sex workers and don't abuse their power over them.

A classic move of course is get compromising photos of political figures and threaten to make them public if they refuse to play along with you.

Agents of the family occasionally infiltrate union leaderships and leverage that to have them threaten a strike unless the company pays the family under the table.

There's plenty of more things that the family is involved with but that's the long and short of it.

Recently, they're working on developing a new super drug codenamed Bliss.
A synthetic form of heroin that worked by skin patches and prevented the user from building a tolerance, making each hit as strong as the first.

That's just step one.

By marketing the drug to the medical industry for its sheer potential and usefulness in pain management, since one of the biggest downsides to most painkillers is diminishing returns, they could make billions legally long-term and have an easier time selling it on the streets if they want.

Even better, since it's not injected, it would drastically cut down on the spread of diseases from sharing needles, including HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis, along them to essentially corner the medical recreational opium markets in the world.

To say nothing of the sheer potential of this drug once they combine it with nanomachines. 

Furthermore, once Aurora gets a good feel for the Bliss Drug, she'll be able to use her Biokinesis to replicate the effect in people. Potentially En Masse.

Speaking of Biokinesis, I believe this is a good point to talk about the destructive potential of her power.

Besides wound induction, what is most important is the necrokinetic application of her powers.

By producing naturally water-absorbent compounds in the body, since certain compounds are able to absorb water quickly and with little change in volume, this would allow her to rapidly desiccate organic matter, while at the same time inducing three types of nectrotic cellular death in an organisim which spreads rapidly, enveloping the entire organism.

Between the two combined aspects of this power, she can essentially cause the target to break down and fall apart completely.

Or make weapons out of biomass, or drain the life from prey or just absorb them for biomass or melt victims down into raw biomass.

The only real limitations to her power are her imagination, the fact that it doesn't work on inorganic beings and that her power requires her to have a working knowledge of Biology. While this is just fine for humans and most Earth organisms, she has more difficulty manipulating the Biology of beings she isn't familiar with, such as extraterrestrials, intrauniversal travelers who have a different Biology from humans or Demons since it is rare for demonic Biology to be similar to one another.

It can also be hypothesized that she performed a more low level version of The Process on the children, explaining their advanced physical and mental abilities even at a very young age, granting them abilities that they would grow into as they got older along with whatever powers they inherited from her and her husband.
