Combattre Universe, Rikku Ryusaki And The No Kill Rule.

Just as a quick note I wanted to jot down. As explained in his lengthy backstory, Rikku has some issues regarding killing, due to some deep seated childhood trauma and just feeling morally opposed to it in general. This is going to be especially important after he becomes a Vigilante. After all, the dude is framed for a mass murder. Not killing his enemies is important after that because he's proving his innocence and that he didn't do it.

Having said that, he's not a complete fanatic about it. He understands full well about killing in self-defense as you saw from the jewelry store robbing scene. Izabella pulled out a gat on a motherfucker and Rikku was completely fine with it. He gets it, he just prefers not to cross that line himself.

Having said that, don't confuse him for being a big softie either. Just because he won't intentionally kill you doesn't mean that Rikku won't straight up wreck your shit and leave you in a broken heap on the floor.

What's really going to be interesting is when his old friends start showing up in the city to assist him with cleaning up the city. There is going to be some tension there since a lot of them haven't seen each other for a long time and could very well have some differing views on what is an acceptable level of force in response to threats.

But, unlike a certain other series, it isn't anything that can't be resolved by sitting down and discussing it like adults.
