Norman Osborn/Green Goblin

Oscorp, also known as Oscorp Industries, is a multibillion-dollar multinational corporation. The word Oscorp is a portmanteau of the words "Osborn" (the surname of Norman) and "corporation". The company typically deals with experimental science, military research, weapons manufacturing and cross-species genetics.

In his youth, Norman Osborn was friends with Otto Gunther Octavius. Together with Norman Osborn's teacher, Professor Mendel Stromm, they formed a business partnership and started up a company. Since Norman put up the bulk of the financing, they called their company the Osborn Corporation, or Oscorp (inspired by a nickname, the "O's" their fellow students had given them).  However, as Norman became more and more obsessed with genetics and military research, Otto and Norman had a falling out. Eventually, Otto left in exchange for a settlement; money to further his research.

Oscorp would later go on to take over Alchemax.

Now a megacorporation, Oscorp produces virtually every consumer need, has entered into endeavors normally deemed non-profit, and their products range from consumer products to military weaponry

Their greatest weapons to date have been the S-Bots series: A line of massive robots created by Alistaire Smythe's team of technicians at Oscorp. After Oscorp Industries promoted Doctor Alistaire Smythe to be head of the company's robotics facility, Smythe rounded up a team of intelligent inventors and designers to create S-Bots for military service under the direction of Norman Osborn: The multi-legged S-01 Robot, The burrowing snake like robot S-02 and The massive war mech S-03.

 Along with their other creations, this places them at the top of their fields. Only Stark Industries, Trask Industries, Hammer Industries, Advanced Idea Mechanics and The Umbrella Corporation can compete with them in the weapons business.

It should be noted that Justin Hammer has recently hired Otto Octavius to work for Hammer Industries, finally giving him a good work environment and decent R&D to work with.

Following the battle of Harlem, Norman hired Dmitri Anatoly Nikolayevich Smerdyakov, also known as The Chameleon, to infiltrate the police, steal Diamondback's suit and replace it with a fake. He eventually got his chance to do so during The Hand incident. The fake Diamondback suit remains in lock up while the real one has been delivered to Oscorp for reverse engineering. The end goal being to mass produce it for military use while also incorporating aspects of the design into their prototype exo-skeleton suit.

Following the New York Quake, caused by the secret society The Hand, Oscorp made a grand showing of donating a lot of money and resources to sealing it back up and housing those who lost their homes to the quake....while also offering money to anyone who wanted to take some tests. After signing several papers of course.

Norman presents himself as a ruthless, amoral and powerful businessman who is more than willing to the law discreetly in order to increase the corporations, and his own, wealth and resources. His standoffish behavior however is mostly a mask to hide his greatest secret: His body is dying from  Retroviral Hypodysplasia, a common virus that they have a hereditary lack of immunity toward. Norman's research into genetics have been primarily focused on developing a cure to the virus that claimed the life of his wife and is currently killing him and will one day kill his son Harry unless Norman can find a cure.

He believes he might finally be making progress with their gradual development of a strength enhancing formula.
