Heavenly Holly Forest is best described as vast, foggy and primal. Its canopy monopolized by hickory, walnut and sequoia and abundant dancing lights bouncing through their crowns for colorful herbs to burst from the sloping and slanting ground below. Thick and wild tree limbs embrace and hang from the trees and arrays of flowers, which blossom brightly, look almost out of place despite being a welcome change in the otherwise uniform backdrop of the forest. Whole tumults of sounds, most of which belong to birds and insects and the rest belonging to herds of larger animals, resonates through the air and adds life to the forest, forming a chaotic orchestra with raging river currents clashing against boulders backed by the trickling sounds of gentle river streams.
Heavenly Holly Forest is based on the forest I hinted at but didn't get around to exploring from the first version of the story. In this version, it's one of the first arcs of the story. Taking place on Saturday In Universe, Derrick and Co. join a nature walk for fun and end up with way more than they bargained for. It was supposed to go through Spiritual Timberland but somehow end up in Heavenly Holly Forest. This is where shit gets weird.

The whole forest is a bit of an Eldritch Location in itself, in a shoutout to The Shimmer and Blair Witch Forest, and while it's not necessarily dangerous, there is still some weird, weird stuff in the forest and it's used as a red herring of Ramona's hiding spot. Additionally it also serves as giving Derrick the first hints towards his history with the vampire and as such has a good role in the story this time around.
