Described as a six foot five bodybuilder of a teenager, Matthew Maximilian is the son of Super Heavyweight Boxing Champion Of The World Oliver 'Onslaught' Maximilian and 'Lethal' Laura Maximilian, The Current Women's Light Heavyweight MMA Champion, as well as the Grandson of the former undefeated World Heavyweight Champion Arthur Maximilian. Additionally, in this verse, he actually has a sister, Persephone Maximilian.
The Maximilian Siblings, being children from a family of sports and fitness enthusiasts, the children naturally were raised to be badasses and took to their regimens like fish to water, eating right, exercising regularly, being trained in self-defense by coaches and their parents, and participating in sports at every opportunity. While not geniuses, the pair were still very smart and excelled in their classes. In fact, they did so well on the sports teams that they basically dominated and left their teammates in the dust. Rather than be disheartened by this, it inspired their teammates to train and practice harder and harder to get up to their level.
The siblings took to sports so well that they incorporated elements of sports into their fighting styles and would spend a lot of time studying sports videos to figure out what would work and what wouldn't. Matt ended up focusing more on mixing boxing, football, softball and freerunning while Persephone incorporated muay-thai, soccer, gymnastics, freerunning and football.
Along with their sports and training regimen, the siblings also had a strong sense of justice instilled in them along with being huge fans of the superheroes of the world. While they weren't technically superheroes themselves, they did have a tendency to put a stop to bullying at their school whenever they witnessed it. Along with excelling at sports and academics, this made them immensely popular at their schools. Naturally, this evolved into the pair fighting crime. Nothing major, yet, but they did occasionally get into fights with low level crooks and muggers on the street, either defending themselves or others, and it happened enough that they got a reputation for it...annnd occasional trouble with the law, though at most it lead to slaps on the wrist and some community service or warnings since it was usually in self-defense and to help civilians.
Still, life was good. They excelled in team sports and Matt had a bright future in his boxing career.
And then....she showed up.
THE BUTCHERESS
She was like a hurricane through their city. Civilians around Green Oaks would vanish off the streets, disappear for days and then be found mutilated at a random spot later.
The siblings parents put their feet down and made it damn clear that their children were to come straight home after school and stay inside until this disaster blew over and the police found the killer.
The siblings obeyed their parents wishes...until they were flat out abducted via their drinks being drugged. They awoke inside of a warehouse sub-basement and they had to wonder around in a maze filled with death traps. For a change, they had to focus on their wits and intelligence rather than using their strength and physical ability. The Maximilian Siblings took some injuries, but they were able to survive and even managed to save a few of their fellow abductees.
While they were navigating the maze, their parents began frantically driving around trying to save their children. When they didn't find them at the school or their usual hang outs, they called the police and assisted in the search the best they could.
The Maximilian Siblings and their rag tag team of abductees continued up through the warehouse, navigating her death traps, until they finally arrived on the first floor and they ran into The Butcheress and they were forced to flee from her. The Siblings attempted to lure her into a room and they attacked her but she quickly proved that her hulking appearance was not just for show. She didn't possess the training of the siblings or their speed, she shrugged off everything they hit her with and barreled through it and overpowered them both.
It got even worse when she revealed her power: Gladiokinesis. Knife Manipulation. The power to create, shape and manipulate knives, shaping and combining them as needed.
So not only was she bigger and stronger than both of them but she essentially had an endless supply of knives. She nearly killed Matthew by flinging a large number of knives at his torso and he only really survived because he had the foresight to slip a metal board under his shirt earlier.
Even when the civilians tried to save them, they were easily knocked aside. Persephone managed to break some of her fingers but even that didn't make her flinch and she swatted her aside, stomped on her neck and she was about to decapitate Persephone with giang knives when Matt got back up and tackled her into a wall, grabbed the madwoman's head and he began brutally smashing her head against the wall repeatedly. This at least seemed to slow her down a little but she still got back up and attempted to impale him with her large knives and while she did manage to pierce the metal board, it was enough to save Matt and he punched her away. Finally getting ticked off, she flung another set of knives at him, giving Matt a few cuts on his body and stabbing through his left hand.
As Matt was screaming in pain and clutching his bloody hand, the lunatic got to her feet and she began beating the hell out of Matt before going in for a final stab with a handful of knives aimed at his face but Persephone got back up and tackled her away from him and through the doorway and the civilians jumped in as well and they all began beating on her and kicking her. But even this wasn't enough to stop her and she ended up overpowering them, cutting several of the group and beating down on the others, and then she created a knife sword and attacked Persephone like a madwoman. Despite doing her best to defend herself, Persephone was unable to hold her off and she received several cuts and she was being badly beaten in their fight.
Stumbling out into the hallway, Matthew fell against a wall and watched as his sister was being killed and he flew into a blind rage, screamed at the maniac and charged her blindly. She turned around and flung several knives at Matt but she kept running despite his wounds, pulled back his good hand and swung at her as she slashed at his hand. Matt's hand impacted against her knife, punched through it and kept going and struck Butcheress in the chest and sent her flying down the hallway as a flash of light erupted from her chest. While at the same time, the burst of energy resulted in Matt burning his hand and breaking his arm...
Matthew fell to his knees and soon passed out from exhaustion, pain and blood loss as Butcheress impacted against the far wall and fell on her face.
The civilians helped the siblings to escape and the police were informed. Soon after, they were all picked up by an ambulance and spent time in the hospital, as did The Butcheress, who now had a third degree burn mark on her chest, and Butcheress was eventually sentenced to a mental asylum.
The civilians recovered and the Siblings were hailed as heroes.They spent time at home away from school to recover and eventually moved to a new city for a fresh start away from it all.
Thanks to advances in science and medical technology, they were all able to heal up exceptionally well from the battle, though there are faint scars, both physically and psychologically. Matthew in particular wears padded gloves practically 24/7, only taking them off to wash or to put on his boxing gloves.
Matthew still has no clue how he took down The Butcheress other than the fact that he punched her, nor has he been able to perform such a super punch again.
Matthew got himself checked out and he seems to have no innate 'Advanced' Genes, so as far as he knows, he isn't necessarily superpowered, so how on Earth did he pull it off?
In current times, the siblings are now attending Blackhawk Academy and working on making new friends.
