Black Tower Prison.
Suko Chifumi was tried and found guilty of one hundred forty-eight murders and sentenced to death. She languished for months in a maximum security prison with no defined date on when she would die.
She just sat there cuffed in her cell with cameras watching her and every room on the block. It was just her in her room. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.
Until finally the door opened and she stepped out and walked the long, long, path through a door, up a flight of stairs to where the noose was waiting. She shrugged and stepped up to it, head held high. The noose was lowered and fastened around her neck. The trapdoor opened beneath her feet and the world went black. Her death was recorded and verified. Her corpse was taken to a lower level of the prison, loaded onto a slab and slid into a furnace to be burned to ashes.
The nightmare was finally over. Suko Chifumi was dead.
Or at least...she was supposed to be.
Devil's Island. Debizuru Shima.
Suko Chifumi awakens in another cell laying on the cold hard ground. Coughing hacking and sputtering she pulls herself up to her feet and looks around. She is in a dark room without much inside. Just a bed, sink and toilet. She can't even see a door anywhere or windows. Utterly confused, she recovers and feels around the room trying to find any sign of an exit to no avail or a camera or anything.
Eventually she starts calling out to the ceiling for whomever is watching her and she is greeted by a polite voice from a hidden speaker somewhere that informs her that 'They' were impressed by her abilities displayed in Hinansho and arranged for her apparent death and transport to their facility. As far as the world knows, she was executed according to plan and her corpse was burned to ashes. In truth she was drugged prior to the execution while the noose was altered and a fake body was provided. After her execution they took her body and replaced it with their fake. Suko Chifumi is dead to the world and nobody is going to look for her here. Nobody even knows she's there. Nobody would come to save her anyway. So now that they have her here they'll be subjecting her to a series of experiments. The purpose of which is not something she needs to know.
Suko of course tells him to go fuck himself but the voice just chuckles and informs her that she doesn't get to decide and the wall begins sliding open and light pours in. Suko backs away and raises her fists as a squad of armored guards walk inside. She tries to put up a fight but she is outnumbered and they're covered in body armor. She is backed into a corner, beaten down and dragged out.
From there she is subjected to a series of psychological, chemical and other experiments for an intermediate amount of time until finally when something goes wrong in the experiments and all hell breaks loose in the prison.
Turns out mad science experiments on a bunch of dangerous experiments, and Suko didn't even get the worst of it, isn't a good idea. Who knew? 😝
With the power going on the fritz her cell door opens and Suko books it into the prison where all hell is breaking loose. Super Criminals and Lunatics of all sorts from all walks of life from around the world are running loose around the prison and warring with the guards. Suko stares at all of this, shrugs, grabs a metal rod and decides to get the fuck out of there.
She sticks to the shadows and tries to just run and get out of there as things get more and more insane around her, introducing not just super villains but outright monsters! Horrific mish-mashes of flesh and steel mutilated by the real monsters behind this hellhole prison. Suko soon realizes that she won't be able to just run out of here and stick to the shadows like she prefers. She's going to have to make allegiances fast and fight her way out of here to not just survive but also discover the real truth about this nightmare.
