The Previous Undefeated Champion Of The World And The Warrior God Tournament Until Rikku Ryusaki, Then Known As Shinigami, Entered At Age 17 And Fought His Way To The Finals And Faced Heilong And His Dark Arts. While Rikku Ultimately Won, It Was The Hardest Fight He'd Had At That Point In His Life. In Fact, The Majority Of Rikku's Scars, That Didn't Come From His Childhood, Came From Heilong. Along With Fifteen Broken Bones.
Shinigami's Victory Came From Straight Dragon Punching Him Off The Helipad Where They Were Fighting. On Top Of A Massive Skyscraper. This Put Heilong In A Coma For A Few Weeks Before He Disappeared From The Hospital. The Only Sign He Left Was a Congratulations Letter Stabbed Into A Wall By A Knife In Shinigami's Hospital Room. Nobody Knew Where He Went And He Did Not Reappear At The Next Tournament.
In Truth, Heilong Had Gone Into Seclusion To Retrain Himself And Properly Heal His Wounds.
By The Time The Following Tournament Rolled Around, He Was Ready For His Comeback. Heilong Made His Grand Re-Entrance To The Tournament By Brutally Killing His First Opponent In Under A Minute As A Warning To Shinigami. Heilong Continued To Tear Through The Tournament In This Manner, Brutally Dismantling Opponent After Opponent Until He Reached The Finals And Faced Off With Shinigami Once More.
The Fight Between Them Was, If Anything, Even More Brutal Than Last Time With Both Men Throwing Absolutely Everything They Had Against Each Other And Ending In A Near Draw With Both Of Them Laying In A Puddle Of Blood In The Middle Of The Ravaged Helipad Until Shinigami Finally Staggered To His Feet And Raised A Single Bloodied And Broken Hand Up In Victory.
Shinigami Was Declared The Victor Once More Shortly Before Passing Out On His Feet.
Heilong Eventually Vanished From The Hospital Once More And Dropped Off The Grid Again.
With Three Straight Wins Of The Warrior God Tournament Under His Belt And His Debt To Countess Thus Fulfilled, Shinigami Stepped Down From The Tournament, Took Up The Name Rikku Ryusaki, And Began Traveling The World.
He Did Go Looking For Heilong But To This Day Has No Idea Where He Went...
