Soooo this is an idea I've recently started playing with in my head.
Like, originally, I was going to have Ramona abandon the vehicles she takes in the most a random of places deep in the woods, bust them up with telekinesis and leave them to the elements and the animal life and other strangeness of the woods.

ANYWAY!
Back on topic, I had a neat little idea after watching a bunch of Fake Trailers of Outlast (The First One, not Darkness Induced Apathy), and I had the idea of her dropping off the car in front of a typical old abandoned asylum, which is, naturally, haunted. She then either shapeshifts into the mother of the family and makes sure she's seen entering it or hypnotizes some random passerby into thinking she did. Or both.
Either way, once the lead is checked out and they find the car parked in front of it, a SWAT Team is formed to get into the asylum and find the Howlands and another team to block off the entrances, crowd control, etc, and they all breach at night.
From there? Things get nuts.

While most of the primary characters are not involved, save for Nicole showing up in disguise to give the police some help, only referred to as The Hood during the adventure, it's a highly trained team of police officers with advanced technology combating an asylum full of ghosts and ghouls.
Throughout the venture through the Asylum, they gradually find clues that point to something being the cause of the insanity throughout it. Which might turn out to be Ramona's fault.
At the end of it all, after Nicole disperses the curse affecting the asylum, they manage to find Mr.Howland's broken and burnt cell phone sitting on a table and escape as the asylum starts coming down and they manage to make it out in time.
Nicole slumps to the ground from exhaustion but gives them a weary thumbs up and once she catches her breath she talks with the police about what happened. They come to an agreement that someone wanted to lead them all into this trap but not exactly why. However, she thinks that there's a chance that the Howlands might be alive. She shakes their hands and leaves, promising to keep an eye out for any answers.
Ramona watches from a rooftop a few blocks away and smiles and leaves.
Dolores later walks into the library and finds Nicole slumped over a table fast asleep.
