The Falcon.

In his prime, he was one of the Greatest Heroes of the Golden Age and even in his advanced age, he still commands a great deal of respect even from the New Generation of Heroes due to his legendary deeds.
He adventured around the world and beyond, both with friends and alone, and fought and defeated horrendous monsters with his mind and a good right hook.
